- Analyze, understand, and take next steps based on your program's metrics and competitive landscape. Balance trade-offs between business needs with technical constraints; gaining consensus across partners along the way
- Influence, negotiate, unblock and make key decisions that will lead the teams to hit their targets
- Anticipate, assess, and manage issues and risks independently; perform as needed root cause analysis and recommend mitigation plans
- Communicate and collaborate effectively, at all levels, including executive updates and presentations, and program documentation and tracking
- Lead key operating rhythms within the advertising team and between partner teams; improve processes and help solve partner concerns, even through ambiguity. Lead quarterly and annual planning processes
- Act as a true leader and owner of your program by setting a strategy for the short and long-term success of the organization, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction
- Level up the organization through strong program management standards
- Technical background with strong understanding of agile methodologies, scrum formation, and experimentation frameworks. Knowledge of Agile development practices and tools; prior experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma analytical technique. Ideally, possess operational mastery in an innovation / experimental 0-1 product team where speed is of the essence
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent; 10+ years of working experience with partners within Program/Product /Engineering/Sales/Ops organizations; Minimum 5+ years' operating as a project/program manager in a technical environment
- Manage multiple partners at various levels in the organization and working with them all equally, proactively, and transparently. Prioritize competing priorities without loss of efficiency or visibility. Ability to operate independently with very little to no guidance, showing initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
- Experience leading operations teams in an innovation culture, highly experimental, learns and pivots flexibly
- Solid experience working in an end to end, cross functional environment with engineering, design, product, sales, ops, and project management counterparts to deliver products/services. Ability to work well as a member of a global and highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members
- Strong background in program managing consumer-facing, highly-visible consumer software products at global scale
- Capable of leading through influence, negotiation and information management and remaining execution focused; holding stakeholders accountable to greater goals regardless of level of seniority
- Is comfortable in a culture where teams move with iterative velocity rather than multi-quarters
- Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale projects in a product environment from conception through completion. Willingness to be hands-on and do whatever is vital; while also training others on the team where additive to project success (ownership/apprenticeship mentality)
- Capable of helping solve escalations and problems and making plans in days or weeks, not months / quarters
- Experience with high-stakes product roadmap, able to align decisions and executives at the center of a large tech company
- Experience in Advertising, Merchandising or e-commerce
- Good understanding of applied research and machine learning methodologies
- Being clear and concise in both verbal and written communications including presentations (e.g., functional/technical specifications, status reports, etc.)
- Strong and positive culture, ethics and values, eager to show curiosity and learn from others
