Overview
The Sr. Director, Finance represents a critical addition to the AbleTo executive leadership team, ultimately responsible for leading the business towards profitability while ensuring healthy top line growth and scale. This entrepreneurially-minded and mission-driven executive will employ their track record of leading high-growth organizations to position AbleTo for continued success. As the Sr. Director, you will develop both short and long-term corporate strategies, while instituting cost management structures and processes to ensure the financial health of the company. They will work alongside the CEO to forecast and define specific goals for business growth, ensuring that the organization is delivering against KPIs, budgets, and financial metrics. This executive will build and lead a world-class financial organization, manage relationships with Senior Optum Health Executives, and act as a thought partner to the CEO.
What You’ll Do
  • Prepare for and integrate with financial systems, processes, and best practices of OptumHealth as the organization is integrated into OptumHealth
  • Ability to adjust company forecast as needed through assessment of the business position, forecast changes, and risks
  • Act as a right hand to the CEO and COO, applying financial expertise to improve the company’s strategic and tactical growth plans to drive market expansion and deeper market penetration
  • Partner closely with the executive leadership team to manage the company’s current and expanding P&L
  • Build, lead, and mentor a world-class finance team instituting a goal-oriented and mission-driven culture within the finance function
  • Work cross-functionally with other AbleTo departments, including marketing, analytics, clinical operations, etc.
  • Apply the player/coach mentality to be hands-on with finance/controller activities while contributing to a larger company strategy
  • Maintain relations with the Senior OptumHealth Executives.
  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation.
  • Use modern technology and analytics stack to make swift decisions, including Excel
  • Contribute to the maturation and solidification of AbleTo’s core values and culture in everything that you do
  • Build financial models that enable quick and strategic decisions from the management team, including but not limited to expansion, operations, hiring, utilization management, and other growth
  • Manage revenue cycle operations
Who You Are
  • Possess quick pattern recognition and data mining skill sets to adjust financial models with a sharp grasp of business unit economics and key levers
  • 9+ years of experience leading finance efforts for fast-paced, innovative, companies that have seen significant scale; MBA and/or CPA preferred but not required
  • Significant experience in leading finance in a provider setting, that is ideally a dual-sided network;
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, mission-driven, entrepreneurial environment
  • Data-driven mindset, with demonstrated success in driving efficient financial planning and reporting on metrics to internal leaders
  • Track record of shepherding significant revenue growth and scaling companies to profitability
  • Experience with a payer-centric revenue model, specifically around billing and revenue recognition
  • Shines in a corporate governance function, operating as part of an executive leadership team and interacting with Senior OptumHealth Executives
  • Collaboration with leadership team to identify opportunities for operational efficiency
  • Preferably have led a company through a liquidation event, either in the private or public markets
  • Track record of building financial and accounting infrastructure to enable accelerated growth
  • Direct P&L responsibility for large-scale budgets

The salary range is $140K to $175K. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, AbleTo offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
