Position Summary

Responsibilities
- Keeps abreast of changes in laws, industry trends, regulations, best practices, and makes recommendations as needed to maintain disability, leaves of absence, & accommodation operational compliance
- Serve as the disability, leaves of absence, & accommodation administration subject matter expert in partnering in cross-functional workstreams to investigate and address complex issues
- Manage various disability, leaves of absence, & accommodation administration activities among vendors and stakeholders
- Review and test disability, leaves of absence, & accommodation functionality within HR systems to include user acceptance testing
- Develop effective communications and ongoing education to improve teammates understanding of Bridgestone’s disability, leaves of absence, & accommodation programs and benefits.
- Partner with internal and external vendors on resolution of service issues and effectiveness of program operation
- Serve as an operational subject matter expert on implementations and administration of disability and leaves of absence plans
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data/information requires evaluation of identifiable factors
- Manage ad-hoc projects as needed to support disability, leaves of absence, & accommodation administration and operations
- Reconcile invoicing, premiums, and enrollment activity as needed
- Design new or improve existing disability, leaves of absence, & accommodation administration process workflow, thinking through upstream and downstream impacts, and coordinate efforts with internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for escalations and ensure accurate and timely documentation and resolution of concerns or issues
- Develop standard operating procedures to support disability, leaves of absence, & accommodation administration processes, procedures, analysis, and audit
- Provide guidance and support to managers and teammates to address any inquiries or issues related to disability, leaves of absence, & accommodation, and ensure a positive teammate experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with using, testing, and administering HR systems
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PHD without experience; or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience working with variety of benefits
Preferred:
- Experience in working with a large employer
- Experience in working in a bargaining and non-bargaining environment
