The Role at a Glance


This position will be responsible for providing efficient administration, implementation and delivery of Health and Welfare and Absence Management benefits. S/he will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects to ensure that benefits plans and practices are compliant with current legislation.


What You'll Be Doing


  • Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Performs more complex benefits related compliance activity (i.e. Form Filings, Summary Annual Reports, etc.) including the development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of compliance related matters.
  • Maintains knowledge of benefit trends & regulations in the area of Health & Welfare to ensure that new trends/regulations are incorporated in the current and future benefit programs of the Company to help differentiate Lincoln as an employer of choice.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Manages invoice billing & funding for all Health and Welfare programs.
  • Conducts more complex benefit plan audits in partnership with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Manages all programs, policies, and vendors responsible for leaves, disability, and absences.
  • Liaises with benefit vendors with respect to plan eligibility, participation, coverage, compliance matters and other benefit matters.
  • Develops dashboard reports and conducts regular reporting on benefits utilization and maintains and creates reports and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and provider regulations.
  • Prepares, reviews & obtains necessary documentation for qualified plans, with legal consultation; IRS/ERISA mandated submissions and employee communications, including Plan Documents, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), Summary of Material Modification.
  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

What We’re Looking For


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • 3 - 5+ Years of experience in Health & Welfare, Human Resource Administration, Human Resource Consulting, and/or Human Resources that directly relates to the responsibilities of this position.


Other Skills And Abilities


  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Evaluate trends in data or information.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail, demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop collaborative approaches.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and recommend process improvements.

Pay Range: $65,700 - $118,300


Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
