The Senior B2B Channel Strategy Consultant invests in the future of Southwest’s People by supporting the multi-channel distribution portfolio for Southwest Business. Our corporate distribution channels include SWABIZ our free online booking tool, direct connect API which integrates directly into corporate booking tools, and various global distribution systems. This role collaborates with Teams in Marketing, CS&S, Customer Experience, and Technology to control costs and brand and capture more Customer data & insights. The Senior B2B Channel Strategy Consultant is a self-starter who is intuitive and passionate about developing an excellent Customer Experience through the creation of more meaningful, valuable, and relevant business travel products and services.

Job Summary

  • Serve as a thought-leader and exhibit strategic foresight in identifying emerging trends in corporate distribution to help ensure preparedness as well as readiness for the future. Partner in developing long-term strategic initiatives, assessing the competitive landscape and managing relationships with our third-party distribution and technology (e.g. GDS / TMC / Corporate booking tool) Partners. The Sr B2B Channel Strategy Consultant will be required to partner cross-functionally within Southwest to meet many shared objectives in alignment with our Company distribution strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the communication of impacts to Senior Leadership and broader enterprise.
  • Strategically service and partner with third-party distribution / technology (GDS / TMC / CBT) accounts in all aspects of the business relationship
  • Assist Senior Leaders across Southwest Business and the Commercial Department in identifying and resolving technical issues, distribution landscape changes, and partnership opportunities
  • Set an example and show leadership/mentor qualities across the Team.
  • Work independently to manage projects and partnerships, ensuring Southwest goals are met
  • Serve as the Channel Strategy Team lead for cross-functional company initiatives, as well as external partner projects
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to Senior and Executive Leadership
  • Proactively identify and assess needs as well as display ownership and delegation for project timelines, deliverables, etc. and report updates/issues/etc. up to Senior Leadership
  • Consult and work effectively with multiple departments - Technology, Revenue Management, Network Planning, Marketing, Legal, CS&S and Ground Ops
  • Lead and develop channel operating plans, playbooks, budgets and roadmaps for enhancements, partnership reviews and defect prioritization
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • Expert-level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
  • Financial analysis
  • Account/partner management
  • Marketing and sales
  • Commercial strategy

Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $112,950 per year to $125,500 per year* depending on qualifications and experience**. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
