Social Media & Marketing Intern

About Markarian:

Alexandra O'Neill founded luxury womenswear label Markarian in 2017. Named after a particularly radiant grouping of galaxies, Markarian combines Alexandra’s love of celestial romanticism with timeless design and modern grace. Each special, romantic, and ethereal piece is thoughtfully made-to-order in an effort to reduce waste. Designed and produced in New York City, Markarian has a strong belief in supporting the fine craftsmanship that the New York Garment Center offers.

This is in-person role at Markarian's office in Flatiron.

Responsibilities:

• Assist on photoshoots.
• Assist with general office maintenance/admin.
• Assist with organizing design archives.
• Assist with drop offs and pick ups.
• Assist with clothing sample pulls and sample tracking.
• Maintain all archive closets.
• Stay up to date on social media trends and assist in developing competitive analysis on social media channels to determine how we can improve and better position our socials.
• Assist in the execution of content for DTC marketing efforts and social media channels.
• Assist with order fulfillment and processing.
• Prepare collections for market, showroom appointment and photoshoots.

Requirements:

• Strong interest in fashion.
• Ability to take initiative, multi-task and pay attention to detail.
• Available 2-3 days a week.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior fashion experience preferred.
