What we're looking for:

You will partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop work across Social channels. You will help lead the creative development to support Social across Verizon initiatives. Responsible for working with the creative team to shape and develop the work, you are the key point person for Social within the creative marketing group. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, creative counterparts and project managers to ensure the creative work addresses business needs and meets creative excellence expectations.

  • Serving as stakeholder in cross-functional, integrated meetings, advocate for social and our best-in-class ambition.
  • Advocating for the social media strategy within Verizon, influencing overall business and marketing initiatives.
  • Defining and articulating the brand’s voice across social channels.
  • Supporting and defining brand’s unique social POV in the technology space.
  • Identifying cultural and industry trends that lend themselves to creating opportunities for the Verizon brand, and building social campaigns to leverage these opportunities.
  • Owning daily relationship with agency partners in support of Verizon’s key business initiatives.
  • Working with agencies on shaping and responding to integrated campaign briefs, ensuring social communications are aligned to brand, audience and platform(s) to achieve business objectives.
  • Inspiring the social platform partners to shape their technology and UX roadmaps to deliver new capabilities that reinforce Verizon’s innovations and values.
  • Developing innovative engagement and activation programming.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • The ability to work fluidly within a complex organization with multiple stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the social platform landscape capabilities and roadmap.
  • Strong knowledge of how social media fits within a larger marketing ecosystem.
  • Finger on the pulse of cultural trends and news in priority categories like consumer technology, culture, sports, music, film and video.
  • Knowledge of data-driven business strategy and how social supports it.
  • An understanding and a point of view on how to bridge the gap between complex technology and everyday life (think consumer first).
  • Has created exceptional work within social, including content that delivered substantial earned media value and ideas that drove large-scale social engagement.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $115,000.00 and $213,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
