This versatile and challenging role will require you to act as an IT Manager, Business Relationship Manager, Demand Manager and Service Manager for the sites in your region. For this position those sites are San Jose (2 sites), San Diego, Irvine, Guadalajara (MX) and Kanata (CA) as well as several smaller locations in the US.

Your main focus at the start of this position will be to manage the relocation of one of the two sites in San Jose, to oversee (and adjust where needed) the move from FTE-Based IT support services to Managed Service and to prepare for a further optimization of our IT support workforce in 2024. The main challenge in this will be to acquire knowledge of our NXP IT environment and processes in your first months.

• Main point of contact for business managers regarding all IT Services delivered on your locations.
• Attend and provide support for IT audits, security audits, quality audits, BSI, T-Systems audits.
• Work in close collaboration with local stakeholders such as Site Managers, Facility Managers and HR Managers.
• Involved in all global and local projects which have potential impact on your sites and user communities.
• Work on improvement plans, recommendations, and observations as outcome of audits.
• Management, monitoring and control of IT services delivered on site by Service Provider
• As part of the global role, work with peers and central team to improve global services and processes.
• Follow up on major issues, escalations and complaints.
• Good relationship with colleagues, local IT team and users. Enthusiastic and positive mindset.
• Ensure standards and policy requirements are implemented properly on site to secure certifications.

What you will need to succeed

• Solid experience in the field of technical documentation and the ability to present complex interrelationships in an easy and understandable way.
• Enthusiasm for result-oriented communication with different stakeholders and the transfer of knowledge in the context of trainings and seminars.
• A university degree with business management orientation, completed training as an IT system administrator or comparable qualification, as well as initial work experience would be an advantage.
• Good IT background knowledge covering multiple domains including network basics, workplace, and applications support, with a plus for R&D field.
• Good knowledge of the planning and implementation of IT projects of various scope.
• Experience with acting between business & IT service organization, being persuasive when required.
