Who we are:
We are seeking to hire a Site Accountant in Austin, TX to oversee the day-to-day accounting of our communities under construction. Reporting to Vice President – Field Services, the Site Accountant is responsible for the coordination of construction accounting activities within the total project scope, as well as ensuring frequent progress communication with the Vice President – Field Services. The Site Accountant is responsible for the review, tracking and overall update of each of our Z Modular projects.
Responsibilities:

• Assist with updating the project schedule (WBS)
• Monthly cost reporting and forecasting
• Review and approval of construction expenditure purchase orders
• Day to day maintenance of individual project budgets, cost to date and cost to complete
• Run monthly accounting meetings with site specific construction team
• Reviewing lender pay application packages
• Management of project accountant to ensure that deadlines are met
• Set up new projects within project accounting system
• Assist in maintenance and issuance of purchase orders, change orders and pay applications
• Ensuring a smooth project cash flow by auditing, reporting, and summarizing projects in full
• Performing monthly closings with finance staff and reviews with the construction team
• Monthly review of soft costs, personnel general conditions and reimbursables, and non-subcontract budgets vs. cost to date
• Prepare schedule of values

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction manufacturing/construction environment where upfront planning is pivotal to the success of our projects
• Ability to travel to Z Modular production and project site locations within the US, minimum of once/month.
• Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
• Strong analytical skills
• Associates Degree or Certificate in accounting
• Must have a minimum of (5) years of commercial construction accounting experience
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills
