Project Accountant Jobs

The Project Accountant reports directly to the Controller and is a key member of the accounting team and must be a team player. We’re looking for a self-directed and willing to pitch in wherever needed to meet and exceed the expectations of our executive members. Must have strong data analytics skills mixed with accounting and/or finance experience.

Job Duties

• Review internally prepared documents and schedules, providing feedback to other departments
• Respond to customer inquiries on customer billings
• Prepare monthly progress billings for construction projects
• Special projects as directed by the Controller, CFO and other Management team members
• Responsible for various month-end close procedures
• Prepare and circulate reports and other documents
• Preparation of monthly bank and other account reconciliations
• Assist in monthly preparation of sales and use tax returns
• Tracks, prepares and submits lien waivers to ensure timely collections
• Issue payments for subcontractors/vendors and collect subcontractor waivers

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or 10+ years Construction Accounting Experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel)
• Strong work ethic and demonstrable success in meeting internal and external deadlines, and managing multiple, changing priorities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• PC proficiency, productivity, verbal communication
• Reporting skills, deadline-oriented, time management, confidentiality
