Accountant Jobs

Position Purpose: Under minimal supervision, performs corporate accounting duties for fixed assets, cash management or general ledger in accordance with GAAP and established procedures. Performs account reconciliations.
Position Summary: Responsible for moderately complex accounting activities related to fixed assets, cash management or general ledger. Performs analytical research to provide information for company’s financial statements. May execute funds movement transactions, perform concentration of funds and cash disbursements. Assembles, creates and reconciles month-end accounting entries, close processing and balancing. Traces errors, researches and corrects account discrepancies. Performs bank reconciliations. Prepares financial reports. Works with field managers on basic accounting functions as needed. Implements, sustains, and develops quality process improvements that focus on safety, financials, operations and customer service.
Requirements: Minimum two years progressive accounting experience. May also require comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, FASB, or general ledger. In-depth knowledge of spreadsheet applications and financial management systems.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient with Excel spreadsheet and Access database applications. Strong analytical and time management skills
Licenses/Certification: CPA Preferred
Physical Requirements: Able to lift 10 lbs, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel. Able to sit for long periods of time.
Additional Requirements: Able to read instructions, numbers and write legibly in English. Follows supervisor’s instructions and works amicably with co-workers.
