Your Key Responsibilities Will Include


What to expect as a HCTC Financial Accountant Each day you will participate in a collaborative and supported work environment where you'll provide general support for all accounting functions.


  • Auditing documents to substantiate financial transactions.
  • Collaborating with external auditors to gather necessary account information and documents for the annual audit.
  • Assisting with preparation of federal, state and other regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
  • Compiling financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Assisting in the analysis of current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues & expenses. Maintaining knowledge of basic accounting support functions such as payroll, accounts payable, billing and accounts receivable.
  • Maintaining financial records and ensures that transactions are accurately recorded and in accordance with GAAP and industry regulations.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.


Qualifications


  • Excellent accounting software user.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of pivot tables and PowerPivot preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures, telco experience a plus.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required.


Work Schedule Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with flexible and hybrid work arrangements after training period.
