JOB DESCRIPTION
Showroom Manager
OVERVIEW
As a Showroom Manager, your primary role will be to cultivate and manage a portfolio of high-value customers, building robust relationships to enhance their loyalty and overall experience. You will leverage your keen understanding of the furniture industry, including the intricate details of manufacturing and construction, to ensure success in this customer-facing environment.
Your responsibilities will also encompass greeting and hosting visitors and special guests at our newly opened showroom, where you'll be tasked with maintaining a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. A significant part of your role will involve soliciting new clients and ensuring a steady inflow of new and existing clients into the showroom.
GOALS
- Streamline order flow and communication, from establishing an account to delivery and fulfillment.
- Ensure accuracy in quotes, invoices, and internal tools such as Trello and Invoice Ninja.
- Foster an efficient, organized process flow from product arrival at our warehouse to final client fulfillment, with active attention to deadlines and client requests.
- Problem-solve issues as they occur, anticipate potential problems, and devise contingency plans.
SPECIFICATIONS
As a Showroom Manager, you will have a mission-critical role managing the entire client sales cycle.
Main Job Functions
● Onboard new clients, setting them up with a trade account, and actively seek out new potential clients.
● Clearly articulate our business model and value proposition to new and existing clients.
● Promptly answer client inquiries with clarity and enthusiasm, reinforcing our customer service-driven culture.
● Generate quote requests with a careful eye for detail on specific line items and custom requests.
● Process Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring complete and accurate entry into software tools like Trello and Invoice Ninja.
● Oversee incoming orders for accurate entry into the PO system.
● Monitor order deadlines and reconcile them with incoming shipments.
● Generate weekly reports highlighting orders that require attention or are expected to be more than two weeks late.
● Verify incoming shipments against packing lists received, drawing attention to items that may be late, inaccurate, or not fulfilled.
● Coordinate with the fulfillment department to manage incoming shipments and orders, keeping client’s deadlines, priorities, and notes in mind.
● Evaluate success rates, problem solve issues as they arise, and follow up on fulfilled orders to assess client satisfaction.
Necessary Requirements
● Adaptability in a dynamic and ever-changing job environment. Customer inquiries will fluctuate, so during non-peak times, you must review and reconcile existing orders, rush flags, problems, and inquiries to ensure company-wide coherence.
● Problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities with minimal direction.
● Superior attention to detail.
● Exceptional communication skills, particularly interdepartmental coordination with warehousing, upholstery, finishing, freight, and fulfillment teams.
● Top-tier analytical skills; adept at analyzing problems, making sound decisions, executing tasks, and performing follow-ups.
● Ability to take accountability and execute tasks effectively in a changing or unpredictable environment.
