Interior Showroom Assistant Jobs

General Purpose of the Position:

The Showroom Assistant/ Coordinator will support the operations of the interiors business on the West Coast. They will support all function of the West Coast to assist in reaching the goals of the territory. This includes but is not limited to the maintenance of all visual client facing areas, as well as maintaining the organization within the showroom while providing superior customer service to clients and guests.

Responsibilities:

• Create and update organizational systems to manage work flow of the showroom
• Perform various duties as requested by management
• Assist clients in the showroom with their fabric needs
• Supervise and monitor all part time employees
• Develop and maintain relationships with all West Coast designers
• Oversee all showroom operations and ensure all day-to-day functions are running smoothly
• Trouble shoot and coordinate resolutions with Italy for problem orders
• Showroom functions include, order entry, stock checks, any client requests. Daily sample requests
• Train all new employees on computer programs, ERP USA and ERP Italy
• Provide superior customer service through client order entry and follow up

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Extremely client focused with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of SAP System helpful
• Interest in Interior Design and Textile
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Education and Experience Required:

• Background in the Interiors Industry is a plus
• College degree preferred
