Shipping Supervisor Jobs

JOB OVERVIEW

1. Oversee shipping functions and shipping personnel, including shipping and stocking of FGI and physical inventory.

2. Ensure shipping personnel are appropriately trained in and following all pertinent Standard Operating Procedures and Company policies.

3. Ensure Shipping Department Standard Operating Procedures are current and accurate at all times.

4. Ensure U.S. mail is properly processed and maintained.

5. Maintain Shipping Department supplies.

6. Check invoice statements from various couriers and assign the correct cost center.

7. Check on incoming shipments, as well as shipments going through customs or where there is a problem.

8. Other duties as assigned by Shipping Supervisor.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1 year warehouse, shipping and distribution experience required.

• Some supervisory experience preferred.

• Some computer experience required.

SKILLS

• Good oral and written verbal skills.

• Ability to understand GMP and ISO Standards.

• Shipping knowledge of FedEX, UPS, DHL, etc. processing procedures.

• Familiar with U.S. post office processing procedures.

• Ability to work overtime if necessary.
