1. Oversee shipping functions and shipping personnel, including shipping and stocking of FGI and physical inventory.

Responsible for scheduling work assignments, training, and overall performance management of individuals within the department and ensure safety.

Oversee inventory controls of on/off-site facilities to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained using inventory management methods (FIFO).

Working knowledge of WMS systems required; experience with RF-Smart a plus.

Forklift certified or must be able to obtain certification (offered onsite at Biamp) within 90 days of hire.

Recommend and implement improvements to equipment and methods for long-range planning, while adhering to cost control and budget requirements.

Previous experience in high volume shipping and/or order fulfillment highly desired.

Performs real-time management of the truck team throughout the shift.

Collaborates with the Distribution Manager and Shipping Coordinators to develop daily work assignments for each shipping team member.

Evaluates the capabilities of shipping team members and makes sure we have the right person in the right job.

Is expert in the customer specific requirements related to pallet build, special labelling and other specifications related to Truck Order Fulfillment.

5+ years' experience in a distribution center/ warehouse supervisory role managing hourly employees.

Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management or an equivalent amount of experience

Schedule and manage shifts on a weekly basis to ensure appropriate staffing levels

Manage relationships with transportation service providers, manufacturers, suppliers, internal departments, and customers

Manage warehouse supplies to ensure all pallets, boxes, and other various supplies are ordered and stocked

Minimum 3 years of warehouse Supervisory experience

Experience managing daily workforce and hourly production team members by setting and enforcing policies with disciplinary actions when needed

Proven ability to multitask, set and manage priorities based on management and customer requirements

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Logistics Management, or equivalent experience.

Partner with management and human resources to implement employment actions such as hiring, progressive discipline, evaluations, and promotions.

Typical distribution operation (492,000 sq. ft.) with 97 dock doors and JDA warehouse management system.

Promotes a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.

HAZMAT Certification required or possess the ability to become certified.

3-5 years of experience in management

Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication with associates, peers and members of management

Manage team of supervisors responsible for the day-to-day activities of department of business unit and assigned staff

Provide accurate reporting information to Campus Manager and others

Act as "change agent" to drive "lean" education and utilization

Seasoned knowledge of campus inventory and receiving practices

Responsible for bin/location management within the ERP

Understanding of inventory/warehouse management concepts and processes

Manages a team of employees related to the shipping, receiving, warehouse and inventory functions.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred..

Knowledge and ability to leverage technology.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles preferred

Warehouse managerial or supervisory experience preferred

Manage assigned aspects of supervising; training, scheduling and disciplining assigned warehouse staff

Requires strong supervisory skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others

Excellent oral and written communication skills
