Conduct forklift training and certification for all new hires and temporary employees.

Manage yard mule activities and ensure DOT guidelines are followed.

• Minimum 1 year warehouse, shipping and distribution experience required.

• Some supervisory experience preferred.

• Some computer experience required.

• Good oral and written verbal skills.

• Shipping knowledge of FedEX, UPS, DHL, etc. processing procedures.

1. Oversee shipping functions and shipping personnel, including shipping and stocking of FGI and physical inventory.

Responsible for scheduling work assignments, training, and overall performance management of individuals within the department and ensure safety.

Oversee inventory controls of on/off-site facilities to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained using inventory management methods (FIFO).

Working knowledge of WMS systems required; experience with RF-Smart a plus.

Forklift certified or must be able to obtain certification (offered onsite at Biamp) within 90 days of hire.

Recommend and implement improvements to equipment and methods for long-range planning, while adhering to cost control and budget requirements.

Previous experience in high volume shipping and/or order fulfillment highly desired.

Manage stocking of appropriate equipment for athletic store

Work with game day managers to ensure teams have water

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with strong motivation to serve a community of faculty, staff and students.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Perform general maintenance on facilities and equipment when necessary

Work order items that need attention from our facilities department

Solid organization and time/project management skills

Manage and ensure effective employee/labor relations, create an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment

Manage and ensure effective employee/labor relations.

Initiate and manage contractor bidding.

Prior experience in supervisory role in manufacturing/distribution environment a plus but not required.

Previous shipping and warehouse experience preferred.
