Senior Vice President Of Communications, Research, And Engagement

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Help establish the Society’s communications strategy and execute multifaceted, omnichannel plan to strengthen member engagement.

• Generate and curate aggregated research content on a weekly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis to provide members with industry trends, best practices, and emerging regulations to inform practitioners.

• Along with members of the Society’s staff, help maintain and strengthen the Society’s reputation as an advocate for issuers to regulatory agencies.

• Oversee production of key research and reporting (ad hoc and with collaborative partners etc.) to enhance the Society’s reputation.

• Collaborative projects with partners, facilitate webinars, roundtable on emerging subject matters.

• Working with Committee Chairs, plan, coordinate, and contribute to the Society’s Sustainability Practices and Private Company Committee meetings. Senior Vice President, Communications, Position Specifications Research, and Engagement

• Draft, post and distribute ad hoc member requested surveys with anonymized results reporting to participants and membership at large.

• Attend quarterly board meetings to provide communications and engagement updates to appropriate committees.

• The position requires travel to Society sponsored programs.

• Role is located in New York City and maintains hybrid work structure.

• Salary range is $175,000 - $225,000 annually.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Collaborates, influences, and builds strong relationships at all organizational levels and across multiple business areas while balancing multiple priorities and projects. Work requires independent problem solving and resolution.

• Develops methodology to measure effectiveness of communications. Analyzes and interprets data, designing approaches to maximize data usage, and redirecting engagement and communications approaches in an agile, real-time manner.

• Works with members, Society leaders and colleagues via collaborative engagement planning to support advocacy agenda content and engagements with the SEC and other regulatory or legislative bodies.

• Helps represent organization and collaborates with external partners to amplify issuer views and positions on disclosure and regulatory matters.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Experience and subject matter expertise with ESG reporting frameworks and the transition from voluntary to required ESG reporting.

• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence business leaders and external stakeholders.

• Project management, organizational and time management skills, including the ability to take initiative, effectively plan work activities, work independently, and prioritize multiple projects and as-assignments.

• Ability to act as a team player and build relationships and effectively plan and facilitate meetings and workgroups.

EDUCATION / REVELANT EXPERIENCE

BA/BS required, Masters in Communications, public policy or related fields. Minimum of 8 years of communications experience.
