About The Role

The SVP Marketing is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing the overall USA beauty marketing strategy.


Main Responsibilities

  • Look for opportunities to drive forward platform enhancements to position ourselves ahead of the market
  • Build and maintain an effective management team – Provide direction to the work and resources of our business and ensure we recruit and retain the best staff, ensuring they are trained and well-motivated to achieve our mission and objectives
  • Building for the future & thinking ahead – 3-year strategic plan to position us in a better place than our competitors
  • Build best in class marketing programs across all channels in line with territory aims and budgets in place
  • Work closely with key marketing contacts across central teams to partner closely with Google, Facebook and other key partners, identifying opportunities across Ad-Tech and Mar-Tech.
  • Continually research and understand your competitive environment to ensure that we remain at the forefront of our industry
  • Look for innovative opportunities in new marketing avenues, keeping THG at the forefront of the digital marketing industry
  • Build, plan and implement the overall performance marketing strategy for beauty USA, channels including PPC, paid social, paid media, ECRM, SEO, affiliates, influencers, corporate partnerships
  • Drive efficiencies in our marketing budget, focusing on paid to free balance and growth. Identify cost re-investments on existing customers and non-incremental activity.
  • Lead the performance marketing team and ensure all employees buy into the company vision and embody the beauty manifesto
  • Collaborate with other members of the senior beauty team to ensure the delivery of the total beauty ambition and growth targets, including build and maintain good relationships with our key brand partners and support the buying team in delivering paid for marketing and supporting in the onboarding of new brands
  • Work closely with our key marketing partners to drive new strategies, enhance partnership and deliver the marketing budgets
  • Prepare and manage the marketing budget, setting the KPIs and targets for ROI for every channel. Work closely with the finance team and global marketing director to take ownership of marketing COS, including both online and offline spend.
