About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with an expertise in test automation. You will help ensure the satisfaction of our users by demonstrating that existing and new products meet the highest standards of security, reliability, performance, and user-friendliness. Your job duties will encompass building automation tooling, maintaining and enhancing the test automation framework, optimizing test automation throughout the continuous integration pipeline and helping with manual testing. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to assess risk and develop test strategies around new features
- Help design and implement an end-to-end test strategy and automation framework for Routable
- Help evaluate and select tools and systems to provide comprehensive functional & non-functional test coverage
- Develop a deep, holistic understanding of the Routable software
- Write and execute new automated tests in our backend and frontend test suites
- Work with engineering teams during the development cycle to establish proper test coverage
- Coach & mentor QA team members on good testing and automated test writing practices
- Analyze anomalies in automated tests and provide fixes or recommendations for releases
- Update our test documentation to reflect the latest feature changes
- Organize and document in detail bugs and flakiness caught in daily automated test runs
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate automation framework into Routable's CI/CD
- Review existing tests in test suites, identify and implement improvements, updates & test coverage
- Verify new build functionality and quality before releases
Minimum Qualifications
- Delivery of high quality and effective solutions while balancing deadlines
- Experience using automated testing tools, like Cypress, Playwright, TestCafe, Selenium, JUnit, Appium, XCTest
- Extreme sense of ownership
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- A passion for understanding how things work, learning and sharing
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Highly organized & detail oriented
- Self-driven and can work with limited direction
- Demonstrable ability in writing software in Python/JavaScript (or similar language)
- 3+ years experience in QA automation
Location
You must be currently authorized to work in the United States or Canada on a full-time basis.
