Job Title: Senior Director of Quality

Industry: Electronics Manufacturing

Location: Greater Boston Area

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with the company's business goals and objectives.
2. Quality Systems Management: Oversee the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
3. Quality Control: Establish and maintain robust quality control processes, including inspection procedures, statistical analysis, and testing protocols.
4. Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for incoming materials and components.
5. Quality Metrics and Reporting: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on quality performance throughout the organization. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement.
6. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements by implementing effective quality assurance processes.
7. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the quality department, including hiring, training, and mentoring a team of quality professionals.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with industry standards and regulations, ensuring the organization's adherence to all applicable quality and safety standards.
9. Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement and lean principles to optimize processes and reduce defects.
10. Customer Engagement: Collaborate closely with customers to understand their quality expectations and address any concerns or issues promptly.
11. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate quality risks across the organization, taking proactive steps to prevent issues before they arise.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of successful quality leadership and driving continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management within the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and industry standards.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, or ASQ) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
