The Quality Engineer – Customization is directly involved in the implementation of new product production processes documents, maximizing manufacturing efficiencies, process data collection, and improving supplier quality. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for custom support of current and future core product lines. This highly visible, hands-on role will work closely with YETI's custom partners. Primary emphasis will be overall product quality and reduction of reject and scrap rates as well as oversight of quality control plan results. This role will also focus on the maintenance of the standard operating procedures, process training and other manufacturing process requirements for custom.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other custom quality team members and global quality members to provide support to YETI customization sites
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Review and update current SOPs for customization processes while also creating new process documents for all new and incoming products
- Identify and drive continuous quality improvement projects and CAPA's through production process audits and product inspections
- Provide support for new product testing and documentation
- Conduct in-depth review and follow-up on the implementation of supplier action plans for poor scorecard performance
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Adaptable to working in various product categories
- Willingness to travel, Domestic and International
- Experience with Quality tools
- Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- At least 2 years' production and quality management experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quality documentation generation and change control
- Familiar with applying lean processes in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to communicate across all stakeholders and drive quality management independently
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Bachelor's Degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering or another applicable stem field
US Workplace Approach:
- Onsite: Role requires you to be onsite full-time.
- Hybrid: Role requires you to be located in Austin, Texas and is a mixture of onsite and remote.
