Position Summary
The Sr. Project Engineer will be responsible for managing complex engineering projects from conception to completion. The qualified candidate will work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. This position will also provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members. Job Function
- Lead project review meetings, including kickoff, design reviews, and project close-out.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of complex engineering projects, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure project success.
- All other duties assigned.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including status updates and issue resolution.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, including technical, financial, and regulatory risks.
Knowledge Skills
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Education/ Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, chemical or manufacturing engineering, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project engineering or a related field.
- Experience managing complex engineering projects, preferably in the Refining Industry.
