ABOUT THE POSITION

SIGNING BONUS:
New, full-time, regular hire Senior Civil Engineers are eligible to receive a $10,000 signing bonus which will be split into two equal payments – 50% at time of hire (i.e. first paycheck) and the remaining 50% at successful completion of their probationary period. This amount is prorated for regular hire part-time employees based on the employee’s FTE. If the new hire voluntarily separates prior to the completion of their probationary period, they will be required to reimburse the County for the amount of the signing bonus received.

The County of Marin seeks one (1) full-time regular Senior Civil Engineer for the Engineering Division in the Department of Public Works.

ABOUT YOU

We recognize your time is valuable, so please do not apply if you do not have at least the following required Minimum Qualifications:

Four years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience. At least one year of the required professional experience must have included functioning in a supervisory capacity or managing a project that included directing the work of project staff.

Licenses and Certifications

Registration as a Civil Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers.

Disaster Service Workers: All County of Marin employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law (California Government Code Section 3100-3109). Employment with the County requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker-related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
