Sr. Manager, Marketing Strategy


shopDisney is the global direct-to-consumer e-commerce retailer for The Walt Disney Company (TWDC), connecting audiences across the globe with exclusive, high-quality merchandise from Disney / Disney Parks, and nearly 100 years of content and storytelling. We are looking for a driven e-commerce and brand leader to lead and develop retail brand and marketing strategies, campaigns, audience growth plans, and customer experience journeys to maximize growth across North American vertical retail channels.


This is the opportunity to be a part of a significant marketing evolution and brand transformation, positioning shopDisney for the future including the strengthening of our retention efforts, broadening the consumer base, and growing audiences to new heights. You will partner with the Director of Marketing and several partners including Customer Experience, PR, Technology, Product Development, Creative, and Analytics to shape growth strategies, determine priorities, develop campaigns, and ensure marketing achieves goals across the business.


Responsibilities:


  • Orchestrate important consumer journeys across the web, mobile, and app in partnership with shopDisney and TWDC partners.
  • Lead the development of outstanding holistic marketing strategies and integrated marketing campaigns across important franchises, seasonal plans, and product launches with a focus on acquisition and retention.
  • Identify marketing and consumer opportunities based on guest demographics, customer research, and segmentation to achieve growth goals.
  • Partner with the Marketing Center of Excellence, Public Affairs, Merchandise Development, and individual business owners (Disney store, shopDisney, Commercialization, etc.)
  • Establish acquisition and retention targets that support the overall growth of the shopDisney business.
  • Develop 365 consumer strategies inclusive of the competitive landscape, consumer research, psychographics, social and consumer trends, and TWDC content planning all with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Develop acquisition plans that attract a wider audience to meet revenue targets and sustained growth, while ensuring retention efforts are prioritized and lifetime values are maximized.
  • Lead teams on brand development, messaging strategy, and go-to-market execution to position shopDisney for the future.


Qualifications:


  • Technical Marketing skills to encourage and lead strategic feedback to promote creative communication planning.
  • Experience in multicultural or international marketing.
  • Experience in managing and leading direct team members.
  • Working knowledge of digital platforms, Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce.
  • Experience developing productive partnerships in and out of marketing and leading cross-discipline teams in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Experience in customer acquisition, engagement, and retention programs.
  • Experience managing a high-volume portfolio of programs balancing strategies, tactical details, and budgets.
  • Experience framing up a verbal or written POV (Point of View)to influence leaders, partners, and peers.
  • 6+ years of marketing experience in E-Commerce, Marketing Strategy, Consumer Package Goods Brand Manager, Advertising Account Manager, Business/Program Manager
  • Demonstrate goal orientation and flexible response to our evolving needs experience using PowerPoint, Work, and Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).


Preferred Education:


  • MBA preferred or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $145,000 to $199,430 per year and in Orlando, FL is $155,430 to $189,970 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
