We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of Partnerships at UL Standards & Engagement, based in our Washington DC office. The Senior Manager of Partnerships will develop and manage a partnership strategy to advance the mission of UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) to make the world safer, more secure, and sustainable. The Senior Manager of Partnerships will build awareness and drive impact by developing relationships and securing opportunities with non-profit organizations, corporate leaders, trade associations, and academia.

What you’ll learn & achieve:
As the Senior Manager of Partnerships, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:
· Design, develop, implement, and manage partnership strategy that cultivates a pipeline of partners aligned with ULSE’s critical focus areas.
· Establish and cultivate robust relationships with essential partners, including industry associations, non-profits, and other stakeholders, with the aim of extending the reach beyond the safety standards industry.
· Design events that bring together government, scientists, and industry professionals to advance safety science and standards.
· Lead partnership projects, guiding the planning and execution of collaborative initiatives while ensuring efficient resource allocation.
· Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to drive successful project execution.
· Manage the full lifecycle of opportunities from initial reach out to delivery handoff and follow-up. Identify partnerships by staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes.
· Develop clear deliverables and action plans for each partnership, outlining objectives, timelines, and success metrics.
· Establish metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure the impact of partnerships and collaborations. Prepare regular reports and presentations to share progress and outcomes with stakeholders.
· Contribute to and/or lead department initiatives.

· Demonstrated expertise in identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, with ability to assess partnership opportunities, and align activities with organizational objectives.
· Ability to manage interdependencies and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to drive partnership initiatives and achieve shared objectives.
· Proactive and timely approach to drive effective structures, process improvement and strategic planning for both immediate and long-term success.
· Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and delivering results among competing priorities.
Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:
· Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, or related fields.
· Minimum 6 years of experience in partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
· Experience working with and developing successful events, content, and partnerships with trade associations, public policy, and/or nonprofit organizations is preferred.
· Some experience managing others.
· MS office suite, Salesforce preferred.
