Role Purpose:

The Neom Planning Authority is currently looking for experienced candidates to fill a Senior Manager: Multi-disciplinary Expertise role to assist in the delivery of planning related projects across the Neom region.

The ideal candidate should be someone who has a combination of technical skills in strategic urban planning/development planning/engineering acumen in an implementation of a regional plan and master plan environment. The ideal candidate would have worked in a capacity with leading engineering and urban planning requirements in a planning authority environment or consultancy with a flair for technical subject matter in the field of urban planning/property development and management. Candidates should have between five to ten years’ experience in a relevant field but most of all be flexible to work on multiple engagements

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES :

• Project Management in delivering quality deliverables on time and within budget and quality
• Leading workstreams / deliverables with oversight from Senior Management
• Support and contribute to development of Intellectual Property and Thought Leadership
• Plan and conduct stakeholder engagement and presentations to clients
• Onsite delivery of engagements
• Support the Executive Director in the management of project risk
• Manage and mentor junior staff members
• Development of technical input, tools and templates to support successful delivery of urban planning and management projects
• Run internal project management processes – Project Summary Reports

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Shall be degree qualified
• Experience in one or more of the Urban Planning Advisory competencies:
• Strong presentation skills – both in person and in the preparation of power point and in design

City & Regional Planning

Land Use Planning/ Transport Planning/ Infrastructure Planning

Engineering

Urban/municipal governance and regulatory frameworks

Development control and permitting process

Qualifications And Experience.

• Planning and Organizational agility: Accurately scopes length and difficulty of projects, setting realistically aggressive objectives and goals. Compensates for roadblocks and looks ahead to see impact on dependent activities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills – written and spoken English is essential (Arabic an advantage)
• Five 15+ years of relevant experience in or urban planning or a similar position with transferable skills
