The Opportunity

Project: Life sciences and industrial manufacturing senior planning and scheduling manager

Mace is seeking a full-time senior planning and scheduling manager for life science and industrial manufacturing projects to work directly with our clients on capital projects.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Directing project planning and production of the detailed project plan.
• Creating and delivering persuasive presentations to large audiences.
• Being able to manage planning/scheduling delivery of medium/high complexity, projects/programs.
• Being able to provide effective and timely advice to clients.
• Providing strategic advice from project conception stage to achieve overall objectives, development of success criteria for the project timeline.
• Establishing/implementing/managing the effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout a project.
• As a planning/schedule management specialist, stays up to date with key industry/professional trends.
• Directing and managing a team of professionals delivering planning/schedule management services and responsible for staff development.
• Being able to advise on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.
• Establishing key relationships with the client and other key stakeholders.
• Being aware of current methodologies and tools to manage/analyse develop planning/schedule information related to projects (e.g. MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Monitoring and applying performance management techniques using KPI’s to improve project performance.
• Having depth knowledge of schedule management tools and software.
• Managing the reporting and the flow of program/project information between the team and the client.
• Understanding of data management.
• Implementing an appropriate and effective project planning and scheduling framework.
• Having good working knowledge of planning/scheduling, EVM, project controls methodologies
• Being able to play key role in multidisciplinary teams and take lead role in creating plans or evaluating trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
• Being able to absorb and evaluate large amounts of schedule information/data quickly to highlight relevant trends and issues to project team and key stakeholders, such as schedule progress comparisons, productivity and efficiencies analyses, schedule risk reviews.
• Effectively manage the performance of the program scheduling team to execute assigned capital programs and projects, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery on large complex programs and projects.
• Supervising application of specific planning/scheduling methods, techniques and tools.
• Providing program level leadership as an extension of the client’s senior leadership team to ensure the overall successful completion of the program/s as may be assigned.
• Acting as the key client and consultant interface at all project stages ensuring that client and quality objectives are met, and projects are delivered on time.

About You

You will have relevant degree (MS or MBA preferred) and achieved professional qualification. You have demonstrated capital program leadership experience. You have effectively managed integrated team(s) on large complex and multi-phase life science and industrial manufacturing capital programs. you have knowledge of multiple project delivery methods, including alternative project delivery (design build and construction manager at risk).
