Sr. Manager, Inventory
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated. This position will support the inventory team in a fast-paced and changing environment. This position will report to the Senior Director of Logistics & Warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory flow of product throughout the organization
- Analyze data & systematic transactions that may lead to inventory errors. Resolve complicated inventory discrepancies, determine appropriate course of action, identify operational gaps. Coordinate with multiple depts & develop creative solutions to prevent recurrence
- Identify & communicate significant factors to cross functional partners where their actions may contribute to inaccurate inventory. Drive changes to update processes where needed
- Plan & schedule detailed activities related to year end physical inventory process & audit at 3PL
- Create and implement clear inventory control processes, reporting, & monitoring of KPI adherence at 3PL
- Work directly with the Inventory Control team at our 3PL to develop, implement, & monitor inventory control procedures
- Lead teams in monthly inventory reconciliation process
- Responsible for audit activities and reporting to ensure the inventory remains accurate at all times and issues are documented and resolved
- Develop best practices to maintain inventory control/accuracy and analyze data for inventory accuracy metrics/KPIs
- Requires high interaction between Operations & Accounting team relative to inventory, including documentation & disposal of obsolete inventory
- Oversight to ensure cycle counts are performed based on schedule, monthly results are reviewed & reported to internal teams & 3PL. Drive investigation of large variances to perform root cause analysis, & collaborate with internal and external partners leading to corrective actions for full resolution
Requirements:
- Possess strong leadership skills with a desire to coach & mentor a team
- Expertise of the fundamental principles around inventory management practices
- Exceptional Excel skills required
- Attention to detail, good organizational & communication skills
- Knowledge to support analytical review & accounting/reporting process relating to inventory
- 6+ years inventory-related experience
- Bachelor's Degree. MBA is a plus
- Experience in Microsoft Navision +
- Independent, self-sufficient, with ability to prioritize multiple urgent tasks
