Inventory Specialist, WFJ


In close collaboration with our Boutiques, the Sales team, our local Distribution Center team and the Global teams based in Paris, the inventory specialist for Watches & Watch Accessories is coordinating the flow of products from Global to our point of sales. Its mission is a key element of the supply chain, by guaranteeing a maximum level of service to all the partners and making sure our products are in the right place at the right time


What impact you can create at CHANEL:


Ensure Day to Day Boutique replenishment:


  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams (Merchandising, Supply Chain, Sales, Operations & Visual)
  • Organizing the monthly rebalancing process for Owned and Consigned inventory
  • Responsible for executing replenishment of Watches and Watch Accessories merchandise to retail & consignment locations using our local DC inventory, ensuring correct balance of inventory based on implemented model stock


Coordinate Transfers & Customer requests:


  • Coordinate the boutiques (Owned & consigned) transfer request process (enforce the rules, arbitrate when necessary)
  • Manage special stock requests across US WFJ market (Retail & Wholesale channels): sold orders, client appointments…
  • Coordinate inventory movements with Retail Operations and local DC for new store opening & events, employee loans


Ensure Wholesales order fulfillment:


  • Assist with Wholesale order fulfillment: in partnership with the Sales team, gather the feedbacks and identify the additional needs of stock that were not anticipated. Fulfill the backlog orders and coordinate with local DC the shipments to Wholesale partners
  • Analyze monthly the replenishment needs for all Wholesale partners based on implement assortment in collaboration with Merchandizing and Sales team


Coordinate launch of novelties:


  • Manage newness inventory execution from pre-go live to post-go live (PO lifecycle from order creation to delivery, inventory allocations, assist with post go-live inventory performance analysis)


Pilot inventory flows with Piscataway and Global teams:


  • Place and Track the Purchase Orders from the Merchandizing team with Global and Local DC
  • Collaborate with Piscataway local DC & customs team to pilot replenishment schedules, new product launches, and shipment tracking

What You Will Bring To The Team...


  • Detail oriented mindset with a strong sense of service
  • Knowledge in retail math, Microsoft Excel, Power BI
  • Systems knowledge (TM1, MMS, Microsoft AX) and ease working closely with IT
  • Experience in Watches / Precious Jewelry and High Jewelry is a plus


Position Logistics:


  • Position based in NY
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant retail/allocation experience

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,700-$80,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits and perks.
