Inventory Planner Jobs

Our client, an American retailer that owns and operates four very well-known consumer brands is hiring an Inventory Planner to join their financial forecast and merchandising team in Manhattan!

This team is developing and executing merchandise financial plans and strategies that support the merchandising, marketing, and financial objectives. As the Planner on this team, you will drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory, and bottom-line profitability.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in retail inventory forecasting and prfitability!

Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial success of one or more divisions/departments by meeting sales, gross margin and inventory productivity goals.
• Create pre-season sales, gross margin and inventory plans that support product strategies. Recap and analyze actual sales results to plan, and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
• Present financial forecast and supporting action plans in open to buy/monthly forecast meetings. Re-forecast sales and manage inventory for all basic styles to meet division/department financial goals
• Collaborate with merchandising to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities
• Identify risks and opportunities to business and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals.
• Own open to buy forecasts.

Qualifications:

• Experience with PLM system
• 2+ years or retail inventory planning experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Possesses a clear understanding of financial measurements including sales, gross margin, inventory productivity measures such as weeks of supply (WOS), etc. and how to impact them
• Strong data and reporting experience in Excel
