SUMMARY OF ROLE
Maxeon is seeking an experienced finance professional with a track record of executing complex deals. The role reports to our Chief Strategy Officer and will identify, propose and lead Corporate Business Development activities including Merger, Acquisition and Divestiture initiatives. This role will work cross-functionally to shape and execute our strategic efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Validate prepared financial data and related financial models in support of targeted opportunities.
- Assess new business opportunities and potential impacts to formulate strategic recommendations.
- Prepare divestiture or acquisition proposals, recommend financial and nonfinancial strategic objectives and alternatives, and implement and maintain strategic and operational plans.
- Manage execution workstreams for complex corporate development projects and opportunities including deal management activities such as due diligence, Q&A, Financing, Internal governance/approvals, and support negotiation of transaction documentation.
- Partner with senior executive leadership, at the corporate and functional level, on M&A, Divestitures/carve-outs and strategy development, target identification, and prioritization of opportunities.
- Scan environment for business opportunities, maintains surveillance over market, and perform financial analysis of acquisition or investment candidates.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, key industry data and timely analyses and to senior management, business unit leaders and major partners.
- Manage relationships with identified potential target company owners to support those efforts mentioned above.
- Lead cross-functional project management, contingency planning, and Day 1 planning to help execute large strategy projects for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. This includes due diligence efforts and integration planning.
- Identify and evaluate potential M&A, or partnership opportunities including assessing strategic fit, business value, and value-creation opportunities.
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience managing complex projects across multiple countries with teams members based around the world. Experience building cross-cultural relationships.
- Worked across the M&A deal lifecycle, with specific expertise in the delivery of advisory services at C-suite level.
- Experience in energy industry is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8+ years work experience in disciplines related to M&A, Investment Banking, Financial modeling and analysis or deal structuring.
- Detailed knowledge of financial analysis and business valuation; and strategic analysis.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, discretion, and initiative.
- Previous experience in conducting pre-deal diligence and then execution of issue-free integration / divestiture and the delivery of relevant synergies required.
- Experience with deep strategy and process knowledge to provide clients with the tools and strategic insights to navigate change and capture value.
- Education: STEM field-based Bachelors’ degree. Post graduate MBA or Masters in Corporate Finance.
- Self-motivated with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
