In support of company growth, we’re looking for a Senior Learning Lead to support our Distribution Team to be a member of our Talent, Performance, Leadership, Learning & Organizational Effectiveness Team (TPLLO). This role will develop and implement integrated and comprehensive learning programs for all Lakeshore Distribution employees. The role will be a thought and execution partner with Distribution leadership and their HR Business Partners for envisioning, strategizing, designing, creating, and executing learning and development to support the goals and objectives of the business. Big picture thinking in this role is critical and the ability to set a Distribution training vision at large scale and bring to life is a key measure of success in this position. Building and maintaining relationships with Distribution leaders and key stakeholders is important to drive influence and buy-in needed in this role. As a Subject Matter Expert in the Distribution environment and Learning & Development, the role is an important conduit to combine best practices in adult learning while also addressing the TPLLO long range plan work including implementation of company goals and objectives, Distribution strategy goals and the use of a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) lens to help ensure DEIB practices are embedded throughout all learning opportunities.
This role reports to the Director of Learning and Onboarding.
A day in the office looks like this:
  • Deliver ROI data to the Leader of Learning and Onboarding on a monthly and quarterly basis, use data to translate into compelling storytelling to highlight current strengths and opportunities
  • Partner and Support Onboarding Team with to ensure comprehensive content development for first 90 days – both general “what” technical and process-based content and “how” Lakeshore culture content is delivered effectively in 1st 90 days to set our teams up for success
  • Proactively create learning content that drives behavior change and delivers on business needs as well as enhance current content to uplift learner skillset
  • Design long term and short-term vision of learning plans/curriculum for various needs; evaluate and evolve plans on a quarterly basis at minimum
  • Provide divisional expertise and nuances to TPLLO Onboarding Teams that help evolve effectiveness and efficiency of Onboarding knowledge, skills & abilities.
  • Execute and/or facilitate relevant, engaging and inspiring content per designed learning plan/curriculum with high levels of success. Collect, analyze and interpret data including insight-gathering to measure success/KPIs of programs and initiatives. Apply data learnings to future content and learning modalities; provide recommendations/solutions to TPLLO leadership on how best to enhance current trainings based on data trends
  • Act as a consultant and partner to the leader and HRBPs for the Distribution teams and leadership development
  • Deliver content with assessment measures, providing trackable ROI
  • Proactive Partnership with Distribution leadership:
  • Employ innovative learning strategies to best meet the learner; for example, live or self-paced learning opportunities
  • Create and uplift content/aligned curriculum to meet the needs of adult learners, addressing determined KPIs
  • Understand and influence the business line or purpose goals and objectives within Distribution training
  • Deeply understand learner and business needs in creation of appropriate learning content
  • Incorporate engaging facilitation skills to execute self-paced learning paths or live learning events that are measurably successful, innovative, inspiring and promote behavior change
  • Partner with Business Leaders and TPLLO Onboarding Team to ensure relevant and effective onboarding strategies, plans & content are relevant and effective.
  • Design, create and execute effective and engaging learning content for both training and development for Lakeshore’s Distribution Division
  • Share key trends and observations, connecting the importance of training content to achieving business goals influencing prioritization of key knowledge, skills and abilities as needed
  • Design assessment tools to determine and meet KPIs
  • Design assessment tools aligned to determined KPIs
  • Apply up to date industry knowledge and best practices to content
Qualifications

  • Ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels with professional maturity to know when to exert influence and when to follow
  • Deep levels of knowledge of adult learning practices and the ability to apply those practices to all types of learning modalities
  • Ability to think, translate strategies, made decisions and execute independently with business partners, while updating key stakeholders accordingly, including TPLLO leadership, the TPLLO team and HRBP teams.
  • Minimum 3-5 years Distribution education experience preferrable
  • Ability to be a proactive self-starter, able to build plans and empowered to work independently as well as a part of a large team
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States to train, develop and coach in person as well as virtually
  • Understanding, consideration of, and the ability to apply Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging best practices
  • Motivated life-long learner who is always looking to improve and uses assessment to measure levels of contribution
  • 5-7+ years HR combined experiences in Learning, Talent Management, HRIS and/or PMO related activities. Business Partnership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment preferred
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with ability to influence change in an established culture
  • Proven ability to design, create, deliver, and facilitate adult learning with success
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Distribution with strong business acumen required
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and insight-gathering to measure success of programs and initiatives
  • Ability to simplify, streamline and clearly articulate complicated processes through clear communication and easy, practical application
  • Comfortability and ability to effectively lead and influence cross-functional teams – from Sr. Leaders to individual contributors.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; adult learning certification preferred
