Job Summary

The Senior Facility Manager is a senior real estate management professional who performs a group of detailed and diverse real estate property management and administrative functions related to managing and maintaining office, research , and medical real estate properties (lease and owned).


Responsibilities


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs other related duties.
  • Produces reports and analytics for the commercial facility management division as requested by senior leadership.
  • Assists the V.P. of Real Estate and Director as required in various Real Estate projects associated with the repair and maintenance of real estate properties.
  • Provides property management support for satellite administrative and medical offices.
  • Ensures compliance in accordance with the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services, The Joint Commission, City of New York and other authorities having jurisdiction for all clinical and ambulatory sites.
  • Conducts facility tours and reports to upper management for compliance and Joint Commission reporting.
  • Maintains vendor contracts that service all properties
  • Inspects real estate properties regularly and reports to upper management for compliance and Joint Commission reporting.
  • Creates, maintains/updates Real Estate purchase orders for the maintenance, repair and construction at real estate properties
  • Maintains open communications with leased satellite facilities in troubleshooting property management/facilities issues.
  • Manages multiple contractual maintenance programs such as water management, elevators, boilers and fire alarm and suppression
  • Effectively communicates with on-site administrators, onsite staff, landlords, vendors and other departments and agencies.
  • Ensures all vendors work in compliance with all MSHS requirements and all trades and vendors are in compliance with various federal, state, and local codes.
  • Maintains knowledge in healthcare policy and procedures regarding life safety and environment of care.

Qualifications


Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or Associate’s degree with a proven real estate management background.

Experience Requirements

5+ years real estate management experience, preferably in a healthcare environment, with knowledge of Article 28 and Department of Health codes and regulations.

Licensing and Certification Requirements

Notary Public Certification a plus

Compensation Statement


The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $95,450.00 - $143,175.00 . Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
