Salary: $73,053 - $92,690Grade: 21The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Research Technician II for the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University. The qualified candidate will work closely in data science, computer science, electrical engineering, and/or neuroscience. This position will be involved in all aspects of calcium imaging studies in our animal models of depression.Duties and Responsibilities:Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Viral injections.
• Master's degree in neuroscience.
• Performing Stereotaxic surgeries.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, biology, neuroscience, or equivalent related experiencePreferred Qualifications:
• Data analysis: requires extensive computational and coding experience such as Python and Matlab.Minimum Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of previous experience in computational knowledge, osuch as Python, MatLab, C, Arduino, LabView
• At least 1 year of experience in mouse behavior and calcium imaging studies.RFMH employees may be required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 depending on work location and must provide proof of vaccination.
