This position is eligible for remote work. Currently we can hire employees in the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming. This role will have occasional on site expectations.


Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of non-merchandise sourcing strategy to align with the company’s business goals and requirements. Responsible for summarizing contract negotiation findings and recommendations to present to senior leadership for review and approval.


Essential Job Duties


  • Leads all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability.
  • Follows prescribed legal guidelines and requirements.
  • Communicate and evangelize procurement value add to all leadership members and stakeholders
  • Establishes strategic sourcing and procurement processes, policies, procedures, and systems to manage the procurement function.
  • Analyze opportunities for leveraged procurement across company portfolio
  • Evaluates vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
  • Develops and implements the end-to-end sourcing and procurement process. Creates and manages the RFP process that strategically guides both the direct and indirect spend by engaging stakeholders and aligning business objectives.
  • Manages the procurement business system data input and integrity and ensures procurement documentation is correctly entered and maintained.
  • Manages non-merchandise vendor relationships and leads contract negotiations and management according to cost guidelines and objectives.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings and improving vendor relationships through strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives.
  • Gathers quotations and examines and awards bids according to RFP guidelines and standards. Monitors costs, schedules, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality for the best value.
  • Establishes and maintains partner relationships with all functional areas, including but not limited to operational functions such as IT, Accounts Payable, and Finance to ensure contracts meet the operational and financial goals and standards of the company.
  • Builds, optimizes, and measures annual savings plan goals. Creates, analyzes, and reports business analytics, KPIs, and customer satisfaction criteria for procurement.


Minimum Qualifications


Required Skills and Experience:


Ten years of implementing and managing procurement department processes and procedures in contract negotiations, reviewing contract language, and contract management is required.


Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).


Must have proven ability to collaborate with others to understand and complete project goals.


Must have excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills and be able to professionally interact with employees at all levels of the company.


Must have excellent time management and decision-making skills and be able to prioritize and organize tasks and projects.


Must have strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing timelines effectively.


Must have proven ability to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to complex problems.


Must be able to pay attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and works effectively and collaboratively across various departments to meet goals and deadlines.


Must demonstrate the ability to function in a team environment where peer cooperation is required to successfully perform job duties.


Must have highly developed and creative problem-solving skills.


Must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently with a strong awareness of common usability methodology.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Advanced business degree such as an MBA is preferred.
  • Professional certification in Procurement is preferred.


Education/ Licensing/Certification


Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field or any combination of education and/or experience based on the table above is required.


Base Salary Range - $128,000 - $160,000

Physical Requirements


This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
