POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Fluency in Spanish (oral and written) required
This position reports to and supports the Executive Vice President, Legal & Operations. The work is primarily administrative but includes assistance with projects across a number of functions within the Commissioner's Office, to include investigations, security, ballpark operations, sports betting, compliance, state government affairs, international operations, and facilities and office operations. The position will work closely with members of these functional teams and often under their direction as well.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize meetings and manage executive calendars
- Conduct internet research in connection with special projects
- Translate documents from English to Spanish and vice versa
- Collect and organize package logs and other documents and information provided by Major League and Minor League Clubs
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations
- Process and track invoices
- Prepare binders in preparation for witness interviews and administrative hearings, and scan and print documents
- Perform related duties as required
- Manage contracts with outside vendors
- Coordinate interviews and written exercises for candidates for MLB positions
- Draft training materials and monitor compliance with MLB trainings and other requirements
- Coordinate travel and prepare expense reports
- Draft emails and letters and format documents
- Review and analyze documents acquired in investigations
- Manage tickets for MLB events
- Work with investigations analysts to gather and analyze publicly available information
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Team player who enjoys working with others
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage deliverables with time-sensitive deadlines
- This position is based in New York City and requires in-office attendance Monday through Thursday, and occasional Fridays
- Must be available and on call to address occasional issues during non-work hours
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Highly motivated self-starter who listens, follows directions, and pays attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are a must

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $60,000-80,000.
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
