Job Description

Qatar Airways have embarked on an exciting transformation journey to change how we interact with our customers. As part of this journey, we are now recruiting for the role of Senior Account Manager. The ideal candidate will be customer-oriented with a drive to achieve goals and maintain a great customer experience through our Leisure channel.


You will be responsible for managing relationships with Qatar Airways' Leisure customers. You will be involved with developing a successful, consistent approach to local and multinational dealing, driving maximum revenue and minimum cost of sale. You will be able to suggest forward-thinking ideas to promote our brand and work closely with clients to understand their needs. This individual will have excellent communication abilities and negotiation skills.


This role can be based remotely out of Illinois, Texas, and NY (in office only).


Responsibilities

  • Maximize value from marketing spend and manage individual expenditure budget.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while interfacing with different internal and external contact.
  • Develop tactical Sales and Marketing activity in support of sales opportunities in Trade Partners.
  • Serve as primary day-to-day liaison with assigned clients and maintain positive ongoing relationships.
  • Work with key accounts to provide product solutions, develop new business, and to ensure satisfaction.
  • Represent QR at trade events, promotions and sales functions, including supporting educational and familiarization visits.
  • Provide regular Market Intelligence and feedback from customers and competitors.


Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years; relevant customer facing commercial experience within the travel industry, ideally within aviation.
  • Familiarity with sales performance metrics
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of GDS systems, ticketing, and selling experience
