Job Description
Overview
Safety Administrators are responsible for educating employees about their roles and responsibilities in keeping the workplace safe and maintaining their well-being. The incumbent is responsible for the executive execution of activities of a designated division, scheduling meetings, and directing calls. Incumbent may request craftworkers from the unions, gather and review necessary new hire paperwork, and liaises between new hires and hiring managers. The incumbent's duties include compiling data and creating reports while supporting the general functionality of the organization's hiring/ safety training/administrative operations.
This role will primarily be in our Vista, CA office***

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensures compliance with Health/Safety/Environment and Quality guidelines and procedures
• Assists with and assigns OQ web-based training; maintains and distributes Veriforce, ITS
• Ensures all onboarding paperwork is completed correctly and distributed
• Distributes personnel change notices (PCNs) and termination slips for employees as needed • Processes turnarounds for union members (if turned around: give Union member physical check and distributed termination slip to member and Union)
• Updates HR drive with PCNs, dispatches, and scans of employee records
• Maintains and updates new hire/re-hire safety onboarding training matrix, spreadsheet, and logs for employees and contractors
• Safety Training including but not limited to:
• New Hire Orientation
• Rigging and Signal Person
• Confined Space
• Accident Investigation
• Substance Abuse Awareness Training
• Substation Orientation
• Forklift Training
• OSHA Training
• FA/CPR/AED
• The Capacity Model
• Maintains and updates weekly and monthly safety reports for injuries, near misses, and job hazard analysis
• Maintains and updates weekly and monthly safety/OQ training reports
Qualifications
Key Job Requirements
• Experience in a classroom training environment
• High School Diploma/Equivalent Required
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to work extended hours when necessary for business needs
• Strong attention to detail/organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Practical oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize set goals and accomplish responsibilities with little supervision
• Must be detail-oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy, and work well under pressure
• Ability and willingness to travel as needed may be in excess of 50% of the time.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements
• Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work can involve walking (1 hour per shift), sitting sedentarily, or standing (5 hours per shift) to a significant degree.
Pay- $28 - $41.00/ Hourly *Depending on Experience
