Salary Range: $59,000 -$62,000
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The candidate will be involved in the Mobile Integrated Health and telehealth to support transitions of care among patients with heart failure (MIGHTy-Heart) trial led by Dr. Masterson Creber, alongside Dr. Brock Daniels. This role recruits and enrolls participants into a clinical research program at Columbia University Medical Center and is responsible for various recruitment (email, phone, in-person) and enrollment activities (which may include patient education, informed consent, etc.)
Incumbents may be assigned to conduct program activities at hospitals across Washington Heights, Harlem, the Upper East Side, Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.
Responsibilities
Review electronic medical health records to identify potential study participants.
Enroll human subject participants into the study through the informed consent process in English or Spanish.
Manage data collection.
Active participation in study meetings.
Participant follow-up to ensure timely and complete data collection.
Communicate clearly and routinely with PI and study team.
Perform other task as requested.
Provide other general research support tasks for the project such as literature review and publication support.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of related experience or equivalent in education, training, and experience.
Excellent communication, organizational and database management skills.
Excellent quantitative and qualitative data analytic skills.
Computer fluency in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Experience with vulnerable populations and certified training in HIPPA Compliance and Human Subjects protection.
Position may require occasional evening hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Training on REDCap and EPIC is provided, but prior experience.
Previous exposure to or work in a clinical setting desired.
Previous recruitment experience desired.
Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
Familiarity of the local Washington Heights/Harlem area preferable.
