Overview
DWS Investments is seeking to hire a credit research analyst for the US High Yield (HY) Team. The DWS US HY Team manages holdings composed primarily of non-investment grade bonds and bank loans in domestic and international mutual fund portfolios as well as separate account portfolios for corporate and private clients. The Team’s dedicated portfolio managers and credit analysts have significant industry experience with a strong track record that reflects its rigorous credit and risk management and compliance controls.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Credit analysis also includes a thorough credit risk analysis at the issue, issuer, sector, and industry levels as well as a solid understanding of the impact of technology, macroeconomic and geopolitical risks.
- Understanding evolving priorities of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing, particularly from a risk perspective, is also a key component of thorough credit analysis.
- The credit analyst will be responsible for performing in-depth fundamental and financial analysis of high yield debt instruments and providing investment recommendations from a relative value and total return perspective to the portfolio management team.
- The credit analyst will be expected to perform detailed ongoing surveillance of assigned credits and provide timely updates on significant credit and industry developments.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of company financial statements and SEC reports
- Possess a bachelor’s degree and, ideally several years of relevant industry experience
- Strong writing and speaking skills are a must for this position
- Ability to efficiently organize and prioritize workflow and balance competing requirements
- Ability to work constructively as a member of a respectful, supportive and inclusive DWS Team
- Good interpersonal skills are required for clear and positive dialog with credit and portfolio management colleagues and in meetings with sell-side analysts and rating agency representatives
- Proficient with MS Excel. Experience with Bloomberg and Aladdin systems would be beneficial

Expectations
It is DWS’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the firm’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $99,750-$180,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
