Research Associate- Early Education- Remote

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and syntheses
• Manage project timelines and scope of work
• Design protocols for data collection
• Draft various types of communications for different audiences
• Manage and contribute to data collection efforts, such as recruitment, interviews, and surveys
• Support outreach and engagement of partners for data collection and dissemination
• Collaborate with early childhood constituents to develop operational guidance
• Develop training and technical assistance resources
• Lead and contribute to multiple early childhood projects simultaneously
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop analytic plans and data management procedures
• Write reports, briefs, and other publications
• Present findings to clients and partners in public forums
• Assist with research notetaking and creating summaries
• Assist with proposal development

Basic Qualifications

• Preference given to individuals with experience in CCDF, Head Start, prekindergarten programs, or military childcare
• 5+ years of experience in the childcare field at the state or federal level
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Professional Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent writing skills to communicate complex information effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills for a collaborative working environment
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Strong task management and organizational skills

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with different meeting platforms, content management systems, and data systems
• Ability to translate technical requirements into procedural documents and training materials
• Experience with data collection and management in applied settings
• Experience with statistical or qualitative data analysis software
• Experience analyzing quantitative and/or qualitative data
• Ability to follow and contribute to procedure development
