Research Assistant I - Dr. Eisenhoffer's Lab (Genetics)

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Research Assistant I position is to provide technical assistance in carrying out projects related to epithelial cell biology using zebrafish.
KEY FUNCTIONS

• Records and evaluates data in accordance with methods requested
• Other duties as assigned
• Reads literature and confers with superiors regarding new procedures and modifies them according to the needs of the project
• Maintains stocks of zebrafish and the associated aquatic system
• Constructs, assembles and operates laboratory apparatus and equipment
• Assists with administrative responsibilities associated with oversight and management of the zebrafish aquaculture facility
• Conducts experiments in areas of molecular biology and genetics

EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree, major course work in one of the basic sciences.
