Renewable Energy Asset Manager Jobs

Degree in Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Facilitate the seamless handover of contracts to the Project Management and Construction teams.

Handle the onboarding of new contractors, encompassing NDAs, MSAs, and other prequalification documentation.

Devise, refine, and enhance efficient procurement processes tailored to renewable energy projects.

Collaborate with technical leaders to formulate and execute Supply Chain strategies for major equipment and EPC services.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Project is preferred.

Offer on-site and off-site project management support as required.

Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably within the Solar Renewables sector.

Relevant Project Management and Construction experience.

Lead and facilitate interface management between internal and external stakeholders, including consultants and contractors.

Provide regular weekly and monthly status reports to senior management, covering construction progress, capital budget forecasts, and any project-related challenges.

Proficient in IT, with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT-based project management software.

Energy Manager (Renewable Contracts) Responsibilities:

Serve as the ongoing owner for all of Facebook's executed renewable energy contract requirements

Respond to counterparty inquires and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and other issues as needed

Manage approval and signature process for contract documents after execution

Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, accounting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable and other key stakeholders

5+ years of work experience with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer, or energy intensive industrial or consumer company

Strong learning skills with aptitude to independently research, understand, and implement knowledge in new areas.

Manage and resolve legal, contractual, regulatory, and commercial issues as they arise.

Commercial mindset, strong prioritization, communication, and organizational skills.

Understanding of integrated system design and operations. Prior operational experience at solar, wind, thermal, coal, hydro, or nuclear industries.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire people to action through his/her influence.

Strong understanding of project finance, legal contracts, accounting, and contract/warranty negotiations.

Develop analytics and management processes to optimize the operations renewable energy portfolio

Familiarity with any of the following: SQL or other querying language, large scale data management, or data system / platform architecture.

Track and manage key data streams necessary to understand renewable energy portfolio performance

Lead response to audit requirements and ensure complete and accurate data across the portfolio

3+ years of experience in the energy sector with exposure to wholesale energy markets.

Experience with renewable energy registries such as PJM-GATS, NAR, WRIGIS, and European GoO tracking.

Experience in portfolio management of:

Partner with finance teams to conduct project-level financial analysis

5 years of experience with carbon credit procurement

2+ years of experience with sourcing, structuring, and executing deals in carbon credits and/or renewable energy

Experience collaborating with the carbon credit and renewable energy communities (coalitions, research groups, policymakers, vendors, 3rd party certifiers, etc)

Proven experience with the best 3rd party standards responsible for ensuring additionality, permanence, non-leakage, realistic baselines, and no double counting.

At least 3 years of asset management experience in utility scale renewable or thermal energy operations.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Engineering, is required

Exceptional presentation and communication skills.

Skilled in negotiating and administering contracts and agreements, budget preparation, economic analysis.

Create a team environment oriented in trust, open communication and creative thinking resulting in a cohesive team effort.

Organize and implement a business plan that meets the objectives of the owners, project structure and contracts.

Outstanding project management skills, including experience with appropriate software tools

2+ years of experience with renewable energy asset management and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) management

Onboard new contracts at execution into an asset management platform and develop commercial relationships with suppliers

Track asset P&L and provide input for asset performance reporting to management

Support the development of a platform of analytical and management tools to optimize the renewable energy portfolio

Manage key commercial relationships with renewable energy suppliers in a variety of North American, European and Global markets
