Job Description
Job Summary
Pharmacy Communication Specialist I is responsible to create, track, and facilitate the submission of Marketing Communication Request Forms (CRFs) for all Pharmacy materials.
Essential Functions
  • Draft letter, text and phone script communications for review and approval by Pharmacy department personnel, then coordinate the approval of such materials with Corporate Marketing and Communications
  • Maintains an up-to-date understanding of all regulatory/compliance marketing and material guidelines for designated product lines and ensures that all regulatory requirements are being met
  • Works cross-functionally to manage letter barcoding-related initiatives and manages the OnBase or other barcoding system for pharmacy
  • Perform any other job duties as requested
  • Develop content and provide supportive education to pharmacy teams to ensure all stakeholders remain compliant and within the policy and procedures for document, text, call script campaigns
  • Manage and oversee the preparation, mailing lists, and execution of pharmacy mailing projects including resolution of returned mail issues
  • Review the CareSource member and provider public website to ensure Pharmacy-related content is published, accessible, and compliant, and that links are functional and reflect the most up-to-date information
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Pharmacy leaders, and Pharmacy business owners to develop pharmacy communication plans to support benefit and formulary changes, as well as clinical program execution
  • Monitor and ensure all business owners, impacted areas, and external stakeholders are notified of new/revised materials in a timely manner and production of the materials remain on-time, target and within budget
  • Develop reporting to inform all pharmacy stakeholders of materials and programs status with touchpoints monthly and quarterly to ensure broad knowledge of communications going to members and providers
Education And Experience
  • Associates degree in business or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
  • A minimum of one (1) year of previous experience writing or managing various types of communications is required
  • Experience writing communications for low literacy populations preferred
Competencies, Knowledge And Skills
  • Advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to perform administrative and clerical duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision
  • Ability to interface and collaborate with employees at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization and tracking skills
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and managed care fundamentals preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities/projects simultaneously
  • Experience using Adobe Professional software to edit PDF documents preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience working in SharePoint sites and managing tasks and workflows within SharePoint preferred
