Job Description
Job Summary
The Pharmacy Issue Management Specialist is responsible for tracking, monitoring, validating, and identifying root cause of and manage RxInnovations issues to resolution, including but not limited to those with our Pharmacy Innovation Partner, markets or within Pharmacy.
Essential Functions
  • Manage day-to-day remediation functions of issues and ensure thorough documentation and resolution of issues
  • Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful issue resolution
  • Engage the appropriate resources across business lines to perform root cause analysis and develop and implement an effective and sustainable solution
  • Create reports and leverage data to proactively identify and communicate the root cause of and quantification of issues
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and initiate efforts using accepted continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proactively keep the management team apprised of the team’s performance related to issue management
  • Ensure that issues with regulatory or compliance impact are identified as such and brought to the attention of the Director of Compliance and the appropriate Regulatory Manager
  • Ensure accountability and engagement of all roles in the issue management process
  • Manage multiple department email boxes and inbound issue tools, including but not limited to ServiceNow
  • Manage daily activities ensuring efficient handling of all inquiries in an accurate and timely manner
  • Monitor CareSource pharmacy vendors to ensure correct policies and materials are published/in production, accessible, and compliant
  • Serve as liaison between CareSource internal departments and our Pharmacy Innovation Partner
  • Perform any other job duties as requested
Education And Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of issue, project, or process management required
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
  • Minimum of one (1) year managed care, PBM, or other relevant experience required
