Communications Specialist
Our client: An American software and hardware company headquartered in Redmond, WA
Duration: 7/31/23 -6/30/24 (with potential to extend or convert to perm)
Pay: $50/hr on a W2 (set rate)
Fully Remote in PST Hours (meetings and deadlines)
Part Time Hours (12-16 per week)
Our client is seeking a Communications Specialist that will provide assistance with written assets related to their Center of Expertise, and will manage process relating to new content creation and their Public Sector Future podcast series. Our client's Public Sector Center of Expertise produces and amplifies though leadership content for customers in Public Sector organizations who are adopting cloud and using new approaches to advance their digital transformation. This is a great opportunity to get your writing published on our client's website.
Day in the Life:
- Project manage the preparation and publication of podcasts and secure necessary commitments from each guest (e.g. signed waivers, coordinating schedule between our client's host and guest and scheduling recording, preparing a set of questions for host);
- Create and edit additional written content (articles and blogs) based on new material to be published on the Center of Expertise
- Creating external facing, high quality and engaging written content (long form articles and social media copy), in line with our client's style guide, to be published alongside podcast releases. This will include long-form articles and social media copy
- Project manage other aspects of the Center of Expertise content as required including coordinating with web team to submit, manage and quality assure publications;
- Coordinate with our client's internal teams and guests to amplify the reach of podcasts and other content
Qualifications:
- Experience of working with Public Sector organizations
- Evidence of strong written communication skills. Able to produce examples of previously published articles and/or content used for senior level audiences
- Strong verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in communicating technology and digital concepts to non-technical audiences
- 8-10 years related experience
- Portfolio or writing samples required
