Remote Pharmacy Insurance Analyst ($19.00 - $25.00 / Hour)

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately document information in appropriate systems and formats
• Communicate referral status to physicians and patients via phone, fax, and/or core pharmacy system
• Process and monitor prior authorizations to assist patients in starting or continuing therapy
• Provide expertise on medical and prescription insurance coverage, claim billing, medication prior authorization and appeal filing, and financial assistance options
• Work with patients, Health Care Providers (HCPs), and their staff to investigate insurance benefits and financial assistance opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required, degree preferred
• Thorough understanding of insurance and previous experience in a healthcare office, corporate setting, or healthcare insurance provider or pharmacy preferred
• 2-5 years of work experience in a healthcare or reimbursement setting
• Knowledge of commercial and government pharmacy and medical insurance programs, billing, reimbursement processes, prior authorization and appeal filings, and specialty pharmacy operations

Work Hours

• Remote position
• Must be available during business hours, Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm CST
