The Remote Billing Clerk - Insurance Payment Posters primary responsibility will be posting insurance payments into our PM system, ensuring adjustments and patient balances are correct. Also, assisting with reports and locating / posting of missing insurance payments.

Responsibilities

• Review that patient balances are correct.
• Assist with outbound calls to insurance companies regarding payments as needed.
• Process payer payments daily.
• Perform end of day balancing of payment posting
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Assist with indexing correspondence received from insurance companies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

• High School diploma, GED/HSED, or equivalent is required.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Proficient in basic computer functions.
• Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors.
• Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others.
• Understanding in reading of Explanation of Benefits is required.
• 1-2 years of of insurance payment posting is required.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Must possess attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
