Our client is seeking a Remote IT Analyst on a direct basis and can work anywhere in the US but must be authorized to work in the US.

Remote IT Analyst Role:

The IT Analyst will collaborate with your supervisor to manage and secure 's IT systems, ensuring the efficiency and safety of our business operations. This is a full-time remote position, and we have employees spread throughout the US.

Onboarding, Offboarding, Security Auditing, and Support including provision and deprovision organizational accounts for new employees and consultants.

Orient new staff and consultants to IT systems.

Conduct regular cybersecurity audits, following a comprehensive checklist of security best practices.

Project Open, Close, Purging, and Archiving

Assist in opening, closing, purging, and archiving projects as required.

Implement audit procedures to ensure irreversibility of purges.

Manage physical assets, such as laptops and endpoint devices, for consultant and management use.

Data Minimization: Track and monitor data footprint, including files, logs, and infrastructure.

Develop automated tools and processes for tracking and presenting data.

Initiate conversations with management, staff, and consultants to purge unnecessary data.

Threat Modeling and Policy Creation to maintain and update 's IT and information security policies.

Develop new policies to cover security posture, admin procedures, data minimization, and incident response.

Present policy proposals to management and incorporate feedback into revisions.

Stay updated on cybersecurity events, news, techniques, and threats.

System Visibility: Design and implement systems and procedures to enhance visibility into 's systems, usage, and data footprint.

Ensure the auditability of historical system visibility data.

System Hardening: Research and understand 's systems, including conducting tests and trials.

Implement best security practices for each service used by the organization.

Industry Norms and Credentialing: Assist in obtaining third-party certifications and indicators of operational and information security maturity.

Remote IT Analyst Background Profile:

Prior experience as an administrator for IT systems, preferably Google Workspace.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Technically-minded and a systems thinker with the ability to manage technical complexity.

Curiosity and interest in cybersecurity, with a desire to learn and grow in this field.

Ability to manage priorities and seek help or clarification when needed.

Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate internal relationships and resources.

Basic coding ability, preferably in Python or Javascript.

Experience working in a remote environment and effectively managing daily routines.

Familiarity with multiple computer operating systems: MacOS, Windows, and Linux.

Knowledge of git for source control and file management.
